Richard DeDomenici

Biography

Richard DeDomenici makes work that is social, playful, political and beautiful – although not always simultaneously.

In 2011 his work was shortlisted for the Arts Foundation Fellowship, nominated for the Jerwood Trust Moving Image Prize, and was an Oxford Samuel Beckett Theatre Trust Award finalist. The following year DeDomenici was commissioned to make work in the turbine hall at Tate Modern, the National Theatre in London and for the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad. In 2013 DeDomenici took his one-man-show Popaganda! to the Edinburgh Fringe, where it played to packed houses. Also in 2013 he made work in the UK, Belgium, Hong Kong, Japan, and Thailand – at last count he has performed in 22 countries.
