The “Pass The Torch” Fund
A month ago we ran a “pass the torch” fundraiser and farewell Edinburgh party at the Cameo Cinema. Part of the purpose of this event was to raise some money to create a small fund that will be given to another group of artists to allow them to begin the process of creating their own space at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
We will be announcing a call out for proposals for this later in the Autumn, but until then we are still accepting donations towards the fund. If you came to the Cameo but didn’t have any cash, or you were unable to be there, or if you’ve ever come to a Forest Fringe event and enjoyed yourself and believe in the importance of alternative spaces driven by community and experimentation within the landscape of the Fringe, please do make a donation. We think it’s vital to make a gesture of support towards something new bubbling up in Edinburgh, a city we love and that has been our home for ten years during festival time. We are incredibly grateful for your contribution.
