We Need You.

As you may know, this summer we’ll be back for our eighth year at the Edinburgh Festival, our second at the Out of the Blue Drill Hall, with a stupefyingly exciting line-up of artists doing interesting things all over the building from the 6th – 17th August.

We are now seeking an amazing team of volunteers to help us run the venue for this year’s festival. Volunteers will be expected to undertake front of house and box office duties, and will work closely alongside the artists and the Forest Fringe directors. We’re also looking for people to make up our technical team. You do not necessarily need to have a lot of technical experience, but interest and a willingness to learn are essential.

Forest Fringe is run by a very small team and we want to work with committed individuals, willing to get stuck in and preferably with a great sense of humour. The festival will be hard work, but you’ll also have a lot of fun, get to know a load of interesting people, see some amazing work, and gain invaluable production and venue-management experience. This is a great opportunity to work with a group of inspiring artists and be part of a unique community at the Edinburgh Festival.

Our programme runs from the 6th to the 17th August, and we are ideally looking for people able to commit to working with us from the 5th of August.

If you want to join our team this year, please send your CV, a little bit about yourself, and why you are interested in this opportunity to Maria: maria_moore@outlook.com or get in touch with any questions. Please specify in your email which role you are most interested in.

Please note that this is a voluntary position and unfortunately we are unable to provide accommodation. Therefore it is essential that you have or are able to arrange your own accommodation for the time that you will be in Edinburgh. Forest Fringe does not receive any regular funding and its core staff are unsalaried. The artists performing at Forest Fringe will also be working volunteer shifts to help make the festival possible. Please feel free to ask us more about how this works.
